WHAT IS THE WEATHER POLICY?

Play will continue through inclement weather as much as possible. If it’s necessary to stop play, it will be postponed in 30 min. increments until conditions are suitable to resume play. It’s very important that all teams remain close to the event site so that games may resume in a timely manner once the weather has improved enough to resume play! The event is not cancelled until an official announcement has been made by Event/Tournament Director. If you leave the site before such an announcement, you will forfeit the rest of your matches. If the event has to be cancelled, the Alternate rain date will be activated.

WHEN DO WE GET OUR SCHEDULES?

Pools for day one will be posted on July 15, however, if we have any late entries, this will affect the pools and schedules. Seeding from day 1 will be used to place teams in the brackets for day 2.

Please note, all coolers may be searched upon entry or at any time by event staff, security staff, or law enforcement per venue regulations.

Tents – You can bring your own shade tent as long as it measures 10′ x 10′ or less and does not feature any business/corporate graphics. All tents and personal belongings must be removed at the end of play each day. Spikefest is not responsible for any loss or theft that may occur.

CHOOSING THE APPROPRIATE DIVISION/WHAT LEVEL SHOULD I ENTER?

The player with the highest skill level determines a team’s level of play. A team member ranked as an “A” player who has “BB” ranked players on his team would register the team as an “A” team. No changes to level of play or division will be allowed on site. Sandbaggers go against the principles of Spikefest and offending players will be ejected from the tournament. Sandbagging is defined as a player who enters into a division below his or her ability.

Complaints regarding sandbaggers should be reported at the Championship desk to the Tournament Director.

Below are the guidelines for the appropriate level to enter your team and avoid sandbagging. If your team breaks these guidelines and you are playing in a level that is truly below your ability… you are a SANDBAGGER (AKA the lowest form of creature on the Volleyball planet, a person who is a 6th grader and beats up a kindergartener and feels good about it).
