Iowa State Advances to NIVC Final

December 10, 2018

The Cyclones took down UNLV at home in a four-set match as they earned a spot in the National Invitational Volleyball Championship (NIVC) title match.

The victory over UNLV was led by senior Jess Schaben as she notched 24 kills and 13 digs in the match for her 19th double-double of the season. This marks the second straight year in which a Big 12 program has made it to the NIVC Championship match.

The No. 5 seeded Texas dropped straight sets, 3-0, to host-school and No. 4 seeded BYU in the NCAA Championship Regional Round Final. Three Longhorns were named to the Provo Regional All-Tournament Team as Logan Eggleston, Micaya White and Brionne Butler earned the honors.

Iowa State will battle it out against Tulane at home for the NIVC title on Tuesday, December 11 at 6:30 p.m. CT.
