Sarah Dixon (Kansas State), Hali Hillegas (Iowa State) and élan McCall (TCU) are the recipients of the weekly Big 12 volleyball awards.
Dixon (Offensive Player of the Week) recorded 40+ assists in all three matches she played in over the weekend as she set a career-high 46 assists at Saint Louis (Sept. 1). In week two, she led the Conference in assists per set with 11.55 and helped lead K-State to a league-best hitting percentage of .284.
Hillegas (Defensive Player of the Week) registered 31 digs in a four set victory against Gonzaga (Aug. 31) and at least 10 digs in all four matches on the weekend. Her match-high 31 digs was the most by a player in the Big 12 on the season. She now has double-digit digs in 53-straight matches, which dates back to her 2016 season.
McCall (Rookie of the Week) earned her second weekly award as she registered double-digit kills in all matches over the weekend and led the Big 12 with 6.00 kills per set and 6.67 points per set. She also tallied a career-high in kills (31) against No. 25 Colorado State (Sept. 2) and in total blocks (7) vs. Cincinnati (Sept. 1).
This weeks’ honor marks the ninth all-time for Hillegas and the second consecutive for McCall. Dixon received her first career award.
