Each week, TeamUSA.org recaps the performances of U.S. athletes through photos, showing where in the world Team USA athletes competed and how they performed. During the week of June 4-10, the Florida State women’s softball team won its first Women’s College World Series title; the U.S. women’s volleyball team won all three of their Nations League games in China; Sloane Stephens continued to impress at the French Open – finishing second; Kirsten Kasper, Katie Zaferes, Eli Hemming and Matt McElroy won gold at triathlon’s inaugural World Mixed Relay in England; the U.S. men’s and women’s soccer teams competed in international friendlies in France and Utah; hurdler Dalilah Muhammad was among the winners at the Diamond League in Oslo, Norway; Maddie Rooney received the Bob Allen Women’s Player of the Year award from USA Hockey; USA Water Polo celebrated its hall of fame induction; Vincent Hancock won his third straight men’s skeet world cup gold, this time in Malta; wrestler Jordan Burroughs competed at Final X and made his sixth world team; divers concluded competition at the FINA World Cup in Wuhan, China; and Alex Puccio and Sean Bailey medaled at the IFSC Climbing World Cup in Vail, Colorado.
