COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Team USA will be the focus of two exciting NBCSN broadcasts and additional coverage on the Olympic Channel: Home of Team USA on Saturday, May 12. The coverage begins with live coverage of the Bridgestone USA Volleyball Collegiate Beach Championships women’s final, which is part of the “2018 Team USA Summer Champion Series presented by Xfinity,” followed by the “2018 Team USA Awards presented by Dow, Best of the Games,” which recognizes the outstanding performances of Team USA at the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games PyeongChang 2018. The Bridgestone USA Volleyball Collegiate Beach Championships men’s final round out the evening.

America’s elite athletes are always in season and the Team USA Champions Series presented by Xfinity was created to help showcase athlete’s year-round quest to compete at the Olympic Games. The Bridgestone USA Volleyball Collegiate Beach Championships is the first of four events in the 2018 Team USA Summer Champions Series. The event features women’s teams from 20 schools, and men’s teams from eight schools vying for a spot to represent Team USA on the international stage.

Nearly 250 Team USA athletes and special guests – including actor Mr. T and Washington Redskins tight end Vernon Davis – joined NBC’s Mike Tirico as he hosted the Team USA Awards presented by Dow, Best of the Games. The awards show recognized the outstanding achievements of Team USA athletes, teams and coaches from the PyeongChang Games. The awards show was recorded live on April 26 at Duke Ellington School of the Arts in Washington, D.C.

*The 2018 Team USA Summer Champions Series presented by Xfinity will continue this summer with diving, swimming, and track & field. The four Olympic sports will highlight Team USA athletes’ road to the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020.
