Alpine Skiing:
Mikaela Shiffrin placed fifth in giant slalom at the FIS Alpine Skiing World Cup in Soelden, Austria.

In straight sets, Jamie Hsu won the VIII Santo Domingo Open in the Dominican Republic.

Highlighted by Miles Krajewski’s gold medal, Team USA earned five medals at the USA Para-badminton International in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Figure Skating:
Jason Brown took the men’s silver medal, while Ashley Wagner (women’s), and Madison Hubbell and Zachary Donohue (ice dance) earned bronze at Skate Canada International in Regina, Saskatchewan.

Angelica Delgado tied for fifth place in the women’s -52 kg. division at the IJF Grand Slam in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

Venus Williams finished second at the WTA Finals in Singapore.

The U.S. women’s sitting team won gold, while the U.S. men took silver at the ParaVolley Pan America Championships in Montreal.

Bill Kolinske and Miles Evans earned a career-best second-place finish, and Betsi Flint and Kelley Larsen claimed bronze at the FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour event in Aalsmeer, Netherlands.

Also This Week:
Adeline Gray returned to competition and won her match, 10-0, to lead the U.S. women’s wrestling team to a 6-4 victory over Japan at Beat the Streets in Los Angeles.
